1981- Grand Opening—Established by the Monday family as a card and party store called The Unicorn Card Shop. Offered an assortment of greeting cards, playing cards, stationary, gift wrap and small gift items.

1995- Added Silk Flowers, framed art work, custom made wreaths and arrangements and an in-home decorating service and changed our name to The Unicorn Gift and Decorative Accessories Store to reflect our new image.

1998- Started the in-store Yankee Candle Party Plan which was successful in reaching new customers and reintroducing old customers to our fresh new merchandise selection.

2002- Introduced a line of .925 Sterling Silver Jewelry and started the Baubles ‘n Bangles Silver Jewelry Party Plan which could be held in store or at the customer’s home. We are now known to our customers as simply “The Unicorn Gift Store”.

2005- Expanded our offering of Sterling Silver Jewelry and added a line of “Brighton” look-alike purses and wallets. Began to offer periodic seminars such as “Pretty Porches, Patios and Decks”, “Neat Feet”, “Pretty Porches for Fall”.

2006- Will celebrate 25 years in business!!!!
